My name is Allison Broomfield-Copeland, and it is my pleasure to be the Director of Primary Education at Cayman Academy. I have spent the majority of my life in the Montego Bay area of Jamaica, and currently live with my family in the George Town area of Grand Cayman. Prior to accepting the teaching position at Cayman Academy, I was the head of the Mathematics and Science Department at the Arthurs Town High School in Cat Island, The Bahamas. I attended Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College where I graduated with First-Class Honours. Immediately following this, I attended Northern Caribbean University where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Primary Ed., Magna Cum Laude. Later, I attended Walden University in Minneapolis where I earned a Master of Science in Education with emphasis in Curriculum Instruction and Assessment. Since my arrival at Cayman Academy on January 1, 2010, I have taught Year 3 for three years and have been teaching Year 5 now for three years.
During the school years, I have worked with the Primary School Choir, the school’s Debate Teams, and the fundraising committee.
As I continue to enjoy working with the students, staff, and the amazing community, who make Cayman Academy a great school, I put my hands in the hands of the Father who guides me along the way.
